for those into the science and detailed outlook-this storm is not rocket science-

the 850-500mb maps says Miss...the weakness in the atmosphere is very evident ...while the outliers look a bt west into midddle La and saving NOLA from a direct hit. so the nhc is right between those 2  lines.
the NHC is going to lock in a 100 mile strike-this is probably going to be a miss strike.this storm is 66 hours awy.
